Everyone loves an all-black look every now and then. All
black can be seen as edgy, sexy and strong-hiding your problem areas while
giving your figure a beautiful silhouette. At the same time, if you’re not
wearing a LBD (little black dress) an all-black outfit-if not styled properly-can come across as boring and basic. I hope some of the tips I've learned over time will help you style an all-black look that is fabulous and fierce!
Mixing different textures can take a black look to another
level. It makes the look more interesting and visually appealing. I’ve worn a
warm, fuzzy cropped sweater with a sleek, velvet mini skirt-two completely
different fabrics but they complement one another nicely. You can accomplish this with a myriad of contrasting fabrics, like lace and cotton or tweed and leather or satin and neoprene-the possibilities are endless!
Details, details, details! This is when they really matter.
Since we are styling an all-black outfit, we won’t be using any color to add a
little POP! to this look so the little details will do that instead. For example,
I chose a pair of black shoes with fur trim detail and my clutch has a chain
with quilting and studding details. I topped it off with a long, multi-chain, necklace that had both silver and gold chains.
